FeedOne Foundation

Last updated: June 2, 2026

FeedOne Foundation ("FeedOne", "we", "us", or "our") operates the website feedonefoundation.com and the associated online store hosted on Shopify (collectively, the "Site"), through which we receive charitable donations and communicate with our supporters.

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights available to you. By using the Site or making a donation, you agree to the practices described in this policy. Where we collect sensitive personal information (such as your PAN or financial details), we obtain your consent at the point of collection, as described in Section 2.4.

If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Site or provide us with your personal information.

1. Who We Are

FeedOne Foundation is a charitable organisation based in India. We accept donations through our Site to fund and carry out our charitable activities. We accept donations only from donors within India and from Indian sources (see Section 12).

  • Organisation: FeedOne Foundation
  • Registered address: 108/1, Block B7 Main, Safdarjung Enclave, Delhi, 110029
  • Email: contact@feedonefoundation.com
  • Grievance Officer: Saurabh Kumar (see Section 15)

We are responsible for deciding how your personal information is collected and used in connection with the Site.

2. Information We Collect

We collect personal information that you provide directly, information collected automatically when you use the Site, and information we receive from the service providers that help us operate.

2.1 Information you provide to us

  • Donation details: your name, email address, phone number, billing address, donation amount, and donation frequency (one-time or recurring).
  • Tax-receipt information: if you request an 80G donation receipt, we collect your full name, postal address, and Permanent Account Number (PAN) as required to issue a valid receipt under applicable Indian tax rules.
  • Account information: if you create an account, we collect the credentials and profile details managed through your Shopify-based customer account (such as your name, email, saved addresses, and donation history).
  • Communications: any information you include when you contact us by email, web form, phone, WhatsApp, or social media, including the content of your messages.
  • Marketing preferences: your consent choices and subscription status for our communications.

2.2 Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect certain technical information, including:

  • Device and connection data: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, and referring website.
  • Usage data: pages viewed, links clicked, time spent on pages, and similar interaction data.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: see Section 6 (Cookies and Tracking Technologies).

2.3 Payment information

Donations are processed by our third-party payment processor, Razorpay. When you make a donation, your payment details (such as card number, UPI ID, or bank details) are collected and processed directly by Razorpay under its own terms and privacy policy. We do not receive or store your full card number or other complete payment credentials. We typically receive only confirmation of the transaction and limited details such as the payment status, transaction reference, and the last four digits or payment method type.

You can review Razorpay's privacy practices at razorpay.com/privacy.

2.4 Consent for sensitive personal information

Some of the information above — your PAN and financial/payment details — is "sensitive personal data or information" under Indian law. We collect it only with your consent, which we obtain through an affirmative action at the point of collection (for example, a tick-box or confirmation step when you make a donation or request an 80G receipt). You are not obliged to provide sensitive information, but some services (such as issuing an 80G receipt) cannot be provided without it. You may withdraw your consent at any time (see Section 8); withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out, and may mean we can no longer provide the related service.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your personal information for the following purposes:

  • To process donations and confirm and record your contribution.
  • To issue receipts, including 80G tax-exemption receipts where you request them.
  • To manage your account and provide account-related features through Shopify.
  • To communicate with you about your donations, receipts, and enquiries.
  • To send marketing and updates (such as newsletters, campaign updates, and appeals) where you have consented — see Section 5.
  • To operate, maintain, and improve the Site, including analytics and troubleshooting.
  • To prevent fraud and ensure security of donations and the Site.
  • To comply with legal, regulatory, accounting, and reporting obligations.

We only use your information for the purposes for which it was collected, or for compatible purposes. Where we rely on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time (see Section 8).

4. Donation Receipts and 80G

If you request a tax-exemption (80G) receipt, we use the additional information you provide — including your PAN — solely to prepare and issue that receipt and to maintain the records we are required to keep for donations and tax-reporting purposes. We retain this information for as long as required under applicable accounting and tax rules.

5. Marketing Communications

With your consent, we may send you updates, newsletters, campaign information, and donation appeals through channels such as email, WhatsApp, SMS, and phone.

You can opt out of marketing communications at any time by:

  • using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email;
  • replying "STOP" (or following the opt-out instructions) on WhatsApp or SMS messages; or
  • contacting us at contact@feedonefoundation.com.

Even if you opt out of marketing, we may still send you non-promotional messages necessary for your donations, such as receipts and confirmations.

6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies to function properly and to understand how the Site is used. Cookies are small text files placed on your device. We use, broadly:

  • Essential cookies — required for the Site, cart/checkout, and account features to work (set by Shopify).
  • Analytics cookies — to understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it.
  • Preference and marketing cookies — to remember your choices and, where applicable, support our campaigns.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling some cookies may affect how the Site works. Where required, we will request your consent before placing non-essential cookies.

7. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as described below:

  • Shopify — our e-commerce and hosting platform, which processes Site, account, and order/donation data on our behalf. See shopify.com/legal/privacy.
  • Razorpay — our payment processor, which handles donation payments (see Section 2.3).
  • Service providers — other vendors who help us operate, such as email/messaging, analytics, and IT support providers, who may process your information only on our instructions.
  • Legal and regulatory disclosures — where required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect our rights, donors, or the public.
  • In connection with a reorganisation — for example, a merger or transfer of our activities, subject to this policy.

Future integrations

We may add, change, or remove third-party tools and integrations over time (for example, additional analytics, advertising, email, or messaging services). Where we do, we will continue to apply the principles in this policy, share personal information only with providers bound to protect it and use it solely for the purposes we specify, and update this policy to reflect material changes.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Subject to applicable law, you may:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Request deletion of your information, where we are not required to retain it (for example, for tax or accounting records relating to your donations).
  • Withdraw consent to processing that relies on your consent, including marketing and the collection of sensitive personal information.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.

To exercise any of these rights, or to raise a complaint about how we handle your information, contact our Grievance Officer at the details in Section 15. We may need to verify your identity before responding. We will acknowledge your request within 24 hours and aim to resolve it within one month of receipt.

9. Data Retention

We keep your personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this policy, including to:

  • maintain donation and financial records and issue/retain 80G receipts for the period required under applicable tax and accounting rules;
  • manage your account for as long as it remains active; and
  • meet our legal, regulatory, and reporting obligations.

When information is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymise it.

10. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational measures designed to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, or alteration, broadly aligned with recognised information-security standards. Payment data is handled by Razorpay using its own security measures. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children's Privacy

The Site and our donation services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at contact@feedonefoundation.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

12. Donations from India Only

FeedOne Foundation accepts donations only from donors located in India and from Indian sources. We do not accept foreign contributions and are not registered under the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010 (FCRA). Please do not attempt to donate from outside India or using a foreign source of funds. If we identify a donation that appears to be a foreign contribution, we may decline or refund it and will not be able to process or retain it.

Your information is processed in India. The Site is intended for users in India, and we do not direct our donation services to individuals in other countries.

13. Third-Party Links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites or services that we do not control. This policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please review their privacy policies separately.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. We will also remind users of this policy and any changes at least once a year. Your continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
